Please review the requirements below:
Contributions must be from your Personal funds by Personal Check, (no company checks)
$500.00 maximum total per person in a calendar year, includes checks, cash, money orders
Cash: $50.00 maximum total per year
Money Order: $100.00 maximum total per year
We are required to have a name and address for each contributor
If your cumulative donations in a calendar year are $200 to $500, we are required to ask for your Employer and Occupation information
Contributions may not be from companies or corporations. However, if you are a sole proprietor of your own business, "Doing Business As," you may write a check from your business.
Contributions may be made from U.S. citizens only, 18 years or older
Contributions from foreign nationals are not allowed
Contributions from Massachusetts PACs are allowed
A note on "In-kind" contributions, items of value a person purchases and then donates to a committee.
For instance, if you want to purchase $100.00 worth of stamps to be used in a mailing and give those to the committee, that would be an In-kind contribution.
Likewise, if you purchase and want to donate $50.00 of sandwiches for a committee event.
Anything given as In-kind would count towards the $500.00 maximum allowed in a calendar year.
You would supply the receipt showing the purchase and the merchant. Limits and rules listed above would apply.
